Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Sous le Dos d'Ane from Olivier Leflaive (Domaine) was bottled under Diam 10 closure. It has a wonderful, lifted, perfumed bouquet with citrus fruit, fresh lime (not too much), and cold stone aromas that are extremely detailed. The palate is very well balanced with a twist of citrus lemon, a killer line of acidity and a very energetic and detailed finish with hints of lychee nuts, smoke and a touch of orange rind. This is a wine that divided our tasting group, though I thought it showed extremely well.
