Derived from a historical parcel within the « Enclos », Les Forts de Latour bears its name proudly since 1966. Continuous efforts to enhance its quality have elevated it to the status of a Médoc Grand Cru Classé.
Les Forts de Latour receives the same meticulous attention as the Grand Vin, both in the vineyard and the cellar. The primary divergence lies in the percentage of new barrels (ranging from 50 to 60%) utilized during the aging process.
While the blend for Forts de Latour may vary annually, a consistent feature is the elevated proportion of Merlot (25 to 30%) compared to the Grand Vin.
