1995 Jacques Prieur, Montrachet 750ml

$6,800.00

Montrachet is a highly prized and much-lauded grand cru vineyard between the villages of Puligny- and Chassagne-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The vineyard is widely considered to be the world's best for Chardonnay (the only variety allowed for the title) and its wines are often considered the grape's ultimate expression. Rich and structured, they can sell for thousands of dollars a bottle.

The use of the "Le" can be inconsistent across the wine industry. Usually, the definite article is used for the Chassagne-Montrachet section of the Grand Cru.
