2009 Louis Jadot, Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses - Magnum 1.5L
BH92-94
Compared to the Baudes and Fuées, this is clearly riper with a more deeply pitched and while more complex, the noticeably riper nose is perhaps a touch less elegant. There is fine richness and depth to the wonderfully intense, detailed and mineral-dominated medium weight flavors that possess a dusty and mouth coating finish that delivers impressive length. This is a seriously complex and stylish effort and though quite restrained at present, it's not hard to see the excellent development potential. Lovely and about the only nit is a touch of backend warmth." (Burghound, 05/11) 91-94 points Tanzer: "(one of two casks are new) Good full red. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry, redcurrant and spicy oak. Sweet, lush and stony, with palate-staining concentration. As broad on the end as it is in the middle. The stoniness takes charge on the back, giving the wine a classically dry finish. This beauty will require some bottle aging." (IWC 01/11) 90-93 points Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses shows the darker side of this site. This is another beautifully delineated wine with gorgeous depth and tons of texture in the fruit. The wine acquires more femininity in the glass, yet this remains a fairly substantial, textured Amoureuses. The finish is striking in its harmony and completeness. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.
