Fred Schrader established Schrader Cellars in Calistoga in 1998 following six years of winemaking experience alongside Ann Colgin, his then-spouse. In 1992, a significant year for burgeoning Cult Cab producers, Colgin-Schrader Cellars debuted, coinciding with the inaugural vintages of Screaming Eagle and Bryant Family. Following Schrader's separation from his wife, he embarked on his solo venture, Schrader Cellars, renowned for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons. Sourcing grapes from two esteemed vineyards in Napa Valley—the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville and the Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford—Schrader consistently garners rave reviews for his wines. Thomas Rivers Brown, a prominent figure in California winemaking, serves as Schrader's current winemaker. Renowned wine critic Robert M. Parker Jr. has expressed admiration for Schrader's creations, notably hailing the 2006 Schrader CCS Cabernet Sauvignon as "utter perfection" and awarding it a perfect score of 100 points. Similar to other limited-production Cult Cab producers in Napa Valley, Schrader Cellars typically sells its wines exclusively through its mailing list, with high demand leading to rapid sell-outs.

Among the myriad tales that weave the fabric of Napa Valley's winemaking lore, the narrative of Peter Michael Winery stands out as particularly vibrant and unforeseen. Peter Michael, hailing from England, forged a path of success in various technology ventures before being knighted in 1989 for his achievements across multiple industries. It was in that same year that Peter and his wife Maggie embarked on the journey of founding Peter Michael Winery in Calistoga. From its inception, Peter Michael held steadfast to his vision of crafting limited quantities of Chardonnay and a proprietary red, marrying Old World winemaking techniques with New World terroir. Renowned for his ability to attract top-tier talent, Peter Michael enlisted the expertise of esteemed Napa Valley winemakers such as Helen Turley and Mark Aubert. Notably, all of Peter Michael's flagship wines undergo bottling without filtration. Spanning 112 acres, the vineyards yield Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grapes, culminating in an annual production of approximately 100,000 bottles. Overseeing the winemaking process is Nicolas Morlet, a Champagne native and sibling to Luc Morlet, Peter Michael's former winemaker.

Dominus Estate, a California icon with French winemaking roots, was established by Christian Moueix, heir to Chateau Petrus in Pomerol, France. Founded in 1982 in Yountville, Napa Valley, through a partnership with Robin Lail and Marcia Daniel Smith, daughters of Inglenook's John Daniel Jr., Dominus embodies Napa's classic style. Sole proprietor since 1995, Moueix, educated at UC Davis, crafts wines blending Bordeaux tradition with Napa terroir. Utilizing the historic Napanook property, Dominus wines exude a distinct French flair, overseen by a team of French winemakers. Reflecting Bordeaux's essence, the vineyards host Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, producing 85,000 bottles annually, with Napanook as its tribute label.
